Prostatitis

Symptoms of prostatitis are similar to symptoms of dangerous diseases.Read them and visit your doctor.

A young man has prostatitis

Prostatitis is an inflammatory disease of the prostate gland or prostate, a purely male organ below the bladder.

This gland is often called the "second heart" because it is responsible for many important functions in the male body.

Prostatitis is one of the most common diseases. In the United States, for example, the number of cases of prostatitis is eight percent of all urological diseases.

Why do you need a prostate?

The prostate gland performs the following functions:

  • produces a fluid that makes up the fluid part of the sperm,
  • Converts testosterone into its active form - Dihydrotestosterone,
  • The bladder, together with the neck muscles, forms the internal sphincter that controls urine,
  • It is involved in creating the feeling of orgasm.

The first signs of prostatitis

Symptoms of prostatitis: frequent and unbearable urge to urinate, difficulty urinating, burning and pain, feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder, pain in the pelvis, groin and lower back.

When does prostatitis start?

Prostatitis in one form or another is observed in half of men after 30 years. However, this can also be seen in young people aged 18-20.

Factors that provoke the development of prostatitis:

  • Chronic hypothermia,
  • timely emptying of the bladder,
  • violation of the rhythm of sexual life (long-term refusal, violations),
  • frequent changes of sexual partners, unprotected sex,
  • A sedentary lifestyle causes blood and lymph circulation in the pelvic organs,
  • Diseases of the genitourinary system,
  • infectious diseases,
  • Smokers and alcohol,
  • injury,
  • hormonal disorders,
  • immune system disorder.

Types of prostatitis

Acute bacterial prostatitis is caused by damage to prostate tissue by pathogenic microorganisms: Eschenichia Coli, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Proteus, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus Aureus.

Many of these bacteria are representatives of the healthy microflora of the human body, living on the skin and in the intestines.

It can cause an inflammatory process that penetrates the tissue of the prostate gland.Bacteria often enter the prostate through the bladder or urethra.

Symptoms:

  • Fire and cold,
  • Pain in the prostate region, groin and lower back,
  • Urination, difficulty and pain, a feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder, blood in the urine,
  • Painful ejaculation,
  • Decreased libido and erection quality due to severe pain and intoxication of the body.

If you experience any of these symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.Acute prostatitis requires urgent diagnosis and treatment.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis is sometimes the result of acute prostatitis.

Its formation can cause injuries to the bladder or genitourinary, cysterization or catheterization of infections in other organs.

Symptoms:

  • frequent urge to urinate
  • pain and burning when urinating,
  • pain in the pelvis, perineum,
  • Desire to urinate at night
  • Siding difficulty,
  • Blood in the semen
  • Painful ejaculation,
  • slight rise in body temperature.

Symptoms of chronic bacterial prostatitis gradually subside with frequent periods of remission. You cannot delay visiting a doctor: this disease requires qualified treatment.

Chronic abacterial prostatitis is triggered by several factors:

  • lifting heavy objects with a full bladder (urinary prostatic reflux),
  • spasm of the pelvic muscles, which causes increased pressure in the prostate,
  • Anatomical disorders in the cinitourinal system, for example, narrowing of the urethra,
  • permanent damage to the prostate.

Symptoms are similar to those of chronic bacterial prostatitis.Differences were detected only by laboratory tests to detect infection.

Attention!

The symptoms of prostatitis are similar to the symptoms of such dangerous diseases as bladder cancer and malignant prostate tumors.

In order to diagnose these diseases as early as possible and to treat them effectively, a person experiencing problems related to urinary or sexual function should consult a doctor as soon as possible.
